It all began in 1983 with a chance encounter between Markus Gygax and Edith Hansmann, and a hand-sewn limited run of ten blouses that sold out in a flash. Fast-forward to today and NILE has established itself – and many chapters, countless collections, numerous stores and valuable experiences have been added to the success story. The company has been based in Switzerland since its foundation, but is represented by various subsidiaries in other countries. Marc Willy joined the company in 2008 and is now CEO and owner of Nile Clothing AG.
